Where are services available?
Services are currently available in San Francisco, South San Francisco, Daly City, Brisbane, and Broadmoor. When booking a service, you'll see an error message if the location you pick is outside of our service area.
*Note: we're unable to complete refuels in the Presidio.
How do I order an on-site car wash?
To schedule a car wash, first login to the smart ready to app using your phone number. Select exterior wash or exterior + interior wash and pick the day that works best for you. Use the map to search for your location and, if necessary, drag the map to move the pin to your vehicle's exact location. On the next two screens, scroll to select your time window. On the review screen, confirm all information is correct and add any notes that will help us locate your vehicle before submitting your order.
*Note: someone must be present to unlock and relock your smart for an exterior + interior car wash.

How do I order an on-site refuel?
To schedule a refuel, first login to the smart ready to app using your phone number. Select premium or regular fuel and pick the day that works best for you. Use the map to search for your location and, if necessary, drag the map to move the pin to your vehicle's exact location. On the next two screens, scroll to select your time window. On the review screen, confirm all information is correct and add any notes that will help us locate your vehicle before submitting.
Don't forget to leave your fuel door ajar to receive fuel! First, unlock your smart. Then, open your fuel door and lock your smart. Lastly, close your fuel door. It will remain open, resting on the closed latch until you unlock your smart again.
*Note: we are unable to provide refuels in the Presidio at this time.

When are services available?
Washes are available from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. For a same-day wash, order before 1:00 pm.
Unfortunately, we can't schedule car washes on Saturday or Sunday yet. We will confirm any requests made over the weekend first thing Monday morning.
Are there any special instructions that I need to know in order to receive a service?
It is important that we can locate your vehicle in order to complete your requested service. For this reason, we ask customers to park their vehicle in a public, easily-accessible location. Please provide us with any necessary access codes or instructions for reaching your vehicle when ordering.
To allow for refueling, remember to leave your gas flap ajar. To receive a wash, leave approximately 3 feet of space around your car on all sides.
Inaccessible locations include: private garages, public gated garages, underground garages, locations with steep inclines, and private property with restricted access.
What happens after I order?
After you order, we'll confirm your service via text message and update you throughout your service window.
What if I need to move my car?
In the city, parking is a huge pain. We get it! Just text us at (628) 600-3230 with your updated address and we'll adjust your scheduled service. Please provide at least one hour's notice before your scheduled service window.
Do I have to be present for my service?
You do not need to be present to begin or complete your service. Just make sure your car is parked so that the service provider can adequately wash and/or refuel your vehicle.
This includes an accessible parking location, three feet of space around your vehicle, and no steep inclines. Remember to leave your gas flap ajar for refueling.

How can I change the time, date, or address of my current order?
Orders can be changed by texting or calling our customer support line at (628) 600-3230. Please provide at least one hour’s notice before the scheduled service window.

What will happen if the service provider cancels my order?
Our service provider may cancel your service if they are unable to locate your car, if your car is inaccessible, or if there is not enough space around your car to complete your service. If the service provider cancels your order, we will inform you via text message as soon as possible. Fees may apply if your service is cancelled by the provider.
How much do services cost?
An exterior car wash costs $30. Add interior cleaning for only $10 more.
Gas pricing varies based on delivery address.
Maintenance valets cost $25 each way.
Do I need to tip my service provider?
No, tipping is not required or encouraged.
How can I change the credit card associated with my account?
Your credit card information can be deleted by contacting customer support via text or phone at (628) 600-3230. You can also email us at email@example.com.
Once your previous credit card number is deleted, you'll be prompted to enter a new credit card before you can order another service.

Who is responsible for any damage to my vehicle?
MBRDNA is not responsible for the Customer’s use of any Service or any personal injury, death, property damage (including, without limitation, to Customer’s Vehicle), or other harm or losses arising from or relating to Customer’s use of any Service. Customer should contact the Third Party Service Provider with any questions about their Service. Use of any Service is governed by separate terms and conditions provided by the applicable Third Party Service Provider.

How do I earn rewards?
Every time you purchase or rate a paid service, we'll add a star to your account.
How many stars do I need to earn a free service?
When you earn ten stars, your next service is free! If you rate your service each time, you can earn a free service after five purchases.
How do I redeem my stars for a free service?
Leave it to us. Schedule the service of your choice and we'll cover the bill. It's the least we can do for a loyal customer.
Who is conducting this pilot? Why?
The smart ready to pilot is managed by smart lab at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc. (MBRDNA). Because smart is the perfect urban car, we wanted to assist our customers by offering on-demand services that help simplify their busy lives.
